Applying is not booking

Sending the form on this website is an enquiry and an application. It does not reserve a place and it does not create a contract. No payment is taken through this website's form.

A place is held only after we have accepted your application in writing and you have paid the deposit. The fees and deposit amounts are set out on the fees and cancellation page.

Course fees and availability

Course dates, fees and availability shown on this site are correct at the date above and may change. The fee confirmed to you in writing at the time of your acceptance is the fee that applies to you.

Fees are quoted in United States dollars. Your bank may apply its own conversion rate and charges, which are not ours.

Certification

Om Shanti Om Yoga Ashram is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance USA at RYS 200, RYS 300 and RYS 500.

• The 200, 300 and 500 hour courses lead to Yoga Alliance USA certification on successful completion.
• The 100 hour course carries the ashram's own school certificate and is not a Yoga Alliance qualification. Yoga Alliance registers teachers from 200 hours upward.
• Certification requires a minimum of 90% attendance and completion of the written assignment, teaching practice and classroom participation.
• Registering as an RYT with Yoga Alliance after you graduate is a separate step you take yourself, and Yoga Alliance charges its own fee for it.

Yoga Alliance is a trademark of Yoga Alliance, USA. We refer to it here only to describe our registration with them.

Your health

Yoga is physical activity. You are responsible for judging whether you are fit to take part, and we recommend you speak to your doctor before booking, particularly if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or managing a medical condition. Tell us about anything relevant before you arrive so classes can be adapted. Our teachers are yoga teachers, not doctors, and nothing on this website is medical advice.

Travel, visas and insurance

You are responsible for your own flights, your Indian visa and your travel and medical insurance. We will help with guidance and documents, but we cannot obtain a visa for you and we are not responsible if one is refused.

Conduct at the ashram

This is a working ashram. Alcohol and meat are not permitted on the premises. We ask students to respect the teachers, the staff, other students and the daily schedule.

What is on this website

Text, photographs and course material on this site belong to Om Shanti Om Yoga Ashram and may not be copied or reused without permission. Reviews quoted on this site were written by former students and are reproduced as they were published on the platform named beside each one.

Limits

We aim to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it is free of errors or always online. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts of Uttarakhand have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EEA, this does not remove protections you have under the law of your own country.
